This is an interesting point regarding the modern global economy. People are so worried about immigration when, in fact, outsourcing puts a much bigger dent in the job market than immigration ever could.

Outsourcing to a non-English country is fine if you're manufacturing plastics, if you're having some animation produced, but when the English language is the bread and butter of your business, it only makes sense to stick with people who have grown up with the language and who know it inside and out.

This isn't to say that there are no writers who can produce great work in English despite being from a different background, but those writers tend to be too busy working as well paid translators, or winning Pulitzer Prizes, to be bothered writing copy at half the rate an American gets.

If you want good English writing, you need a good English writer. That's simply all there is to it. You wouldn't trust a Canadian to write copy in Spanish, so why someone who doesn't speak English very well to write in English?

You can get a writer from India or Russia to fill an article with the right keywords, but great copy is much, much more than the right keywords. A reader who sees nothing but keywords and no real content is going to take their business elsewhere before supporting a company that is essentially giving them spam when it comes to the quality of the web content.

Sad but true, that's how a lot of non-native English SEO companies do it. Many of them, in fact, don't even hire anyone who can speak English, and everything with English speaking clients is handled through translation software. This is what you get when you refuse to pay more than a tenth of a cent per word.

This is at the very lowest end of the business. These are the companies you'll find writing spam for mass email marketing campaigns. So if you want to pay absolute bottom dollar, that's what you're going to wind up with. If you take pride in your web content, if you want to put forth a positive image of professionalism and trustworthiness, you need English native SEO work done.

You don't need to devote thousands and thousands of dollars to an SEO marketing campaign. In fact, English native writers are charging less and less these days to stay competitive. Take some pride in your web content, and hire the best writer you can. In the end, it's really only a difference of about a half a penny a word, so why be cheap when it comes to something that could make you money?
